Audie Award Nominee, Original Work, 2013

With the premiere of two new film versions of the Snow White tale, Blackstone enters the fray with its own adult, edgy, and not altogether serious full-cast exposé of fairy-taledom.

At last it can be told! Was Snow White really as pure as the driven snow? Did her allegedly wicked stepmother get a bum rap from the Grimm brothers? What went on behind the closed Dutch doors of the dwarves' cottage? How many handsome princes does it take to screw in a light bulb?

These and other burning questions may or may not be answered in this new pseudogothic audio play that Blackstone commissioned from award-winning author and audio dramatist Yuri Rasovsky.

This was my first big stunt coordinating gig, on the long since canceled Soap Opera "Texas. " It was shot on location at the Brooklyn zoo, in Prospect Park.

Without giving away too much of the plot, the latest Portland Center Stage production just might be my favorite to date. With Gilmore girls-esque {great comparison Grace. } family drama, stellar performances and a stunning set, I felt as though I was anxiously smoking cigarettes in the mid-century Palm Springs living room. The dialogue, body language and references subtly touched on the fear that consumed Americans - especially those with New York connections - in the years immediately following 9/11. Specifically, Ned Schmidtke and Barbara Boughton commanded the... With an Emily Gilmore bite, Boughton is the country club type mom who cannot communicate her fears and starts clinking the ice early on to numb her fears. As the loving and charismatic patriarch, Schmidtke embodies Reagan's political beliefs and unshakable confidence. Source: Martha Chartreuse

This collection of essays and reviews represents the most significant and comprehensive writing on Shakespeare's A Comedy of Errors. Miola's edited work also features a comprehensive critical history, coupled with a full bibliography and photographs of major productions of the play from around the world. In the collection, there are five previously unpublished essays. The topics covered in these new essays are women in the play, the play's debt to contemporary theater, its critical and performance histories in Germany and Japan, the metrical variety of the play, and the distinctly modern perspective on the play as containing dark and disturbing elements. To compliment these new essays, the collection features significant scholarship and commentary on The Comedy of Errors that is published in obscure and difficulty accessible journals, newspapers, and other sources. This collection brings together these essays for the first time.
