Death’s Head illuminates a little-known but significant moment in history, one whose outcome resonates through the years to the present day. It is a story of war and love and the faith that enables ordinary men to perform extraordinary deeds. 1190 – Saladin’s armies have overrun most of the Holy Land, prompting a great crusade from the West, led by Richard the Lionheart, King Philip of France, and the German emperor, Frederick Barbarossa. Unjustly accused of murder, an idealistic young monk named Roger flees his abbey and joins the vast tide of men headed for the East. In the Holy Land, Roger finds not glory, but death and misery as he takes part in the greatest military debacle of the Middle Ages – the siege of Acre. Roger makes a name for himself in the company known as the Death’s Heads, and he falls in love under the most improbable circumstances. But as the months pass, and he watches the mightiest fighting force in the history of Christendom being destroyed by battle and disease and starvation, he suffers a soul-shattering crisis of faith, wondering how God could permit His children to indulge in such madness.

Repentance: The Leading Word of the Gospel
Product Description

It is a serious problem when society misunderstands or disregards sin and repentance. But when the church neglects these doctrines, the impact is profound. This book unfolds the nature and necessity of biblical repentance, but for the church in particular. Roberts' in-depth study heavily references both he Old and New Testaments, and includes chapters on the myths, maxims, marks, models, and motives of repentance, as well as the graces and fruits that accompany it. There is also wise warning about the dangers of delayed repentance.

BBC Series Saved My Holiday

There are four days in my Christmas holiday and I have been without my American TV series because they have all been on break. So this would have been a very lonely, un-entertaining holiday if it weren't for all the BBC series that I have been hoarding to watch specifically for this Christmas period. The Fall S2. I wasn't looking forward to see another season of creepiness but Stella Gibson and Paul Spector managed to suck me right in since the beginning. And it was worth withstanding all the creepiness that happened in these new six episodes because Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson were amazing in their roles. My mom and I watched the finale together tonight and we were properly freaked out, as well as exhilarated, by everything that happened in there. Atlantis S2. I haven't finished watching all the episodes but the episodes have been insane so far. Insane, as in, everything about this show is totally wrong, but it's oh so very good that I can't help myself. The writers are making the female characters more rounded now and they're giving Robert Emms' Pythagoras more lines now. But of course Mark Addy still wins at everything because he's Mark Addy. Two more episodes until the mid-season finale. There's no moving on from this series. The Christmas holiday has inspired me to watch the "Winter" episode of season 3, although before that I also watched "Autumn". And of course I needed to see a young, handsome and happy-looking Richard Armitage so I watched those wedding episodes again. Since I've just been thoroughly shocked/depressed by The Fall S2 finale, I'm going to watch "Spring" just to make me happy again before I go to sleep. Doctor Who Christmas Special. ♥ Story-wise, it's the kind of plot I despise because it looked to me like everything was explained and solved by saying "hey, it's just a dream. So, ho-ho-ho. Merry Christmas. Next week is the New Year's holiday. I'm looking forward to watching The Missing starring Jimmy Nesbitt and Ken Stott. They make me cry in The Hobbit. and I have a feeling they'll make me cry in The. Source: Cosmic Coincidence
