Raymond Glasrud -- Rochester - Shaft-Bulletin

Raymond Julius Glasrud, age 93, died peacefully on Aug 3, 2017, surrounded by his relatives at Samaritan Bethany in Rochester. Raymond was born on May 25, 1924, in Spring Grove, to parents, Gunhild and Edwin Glasrud. Raymond married Darlene Nelson on Oct. Raymond was a contract member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play along improvise sports (he always had a Werther's in his pocket to share). Ray was a kind-hearted soul, enjoyed socializing and telling Ole and Lena jokes, 'everybody loved Raymond. ' Raymond farmed with his paterfamilias for several years. He later worked as a well-driller and for the Rochester Buick dealership, but for most of his life he was plant machinator for the Rochester Water Reclamation Plant, which he retired from in 1987. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Leisa) Glasrud. daughter-in-law, Maureen (Mark) Kelley of Rochester. grandchildren, Erin (Brian) Maddox of Helena, Mo. , Michelle (Brett) Plonsky of Cannon Falls, Melissa (Notch) Lukovsky of Duluth, Travis Glasrud of New Hope, and Michael Kelley of Rochester. and great-grandchildren, Emily and Marissa Maddox, and Mason Raymond Lukovsky. and progenitrix and father, Gunhild and Edwin Glasrud. Funeral services will be 11:30 a. m. Sunday, August 6, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, in Rochester. The kinsfolk would prefer memorials to Arbor Terrace, Seasons Hospice, or Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Source:
