A Instrument Life by O'Neal, Tatum
Product Description

A real Hollywood-style tell-all, this is the extremely candid and highly explosive autobiography of one of the movie industry's most talented and troubled young stars.

At age ten, Tatum O'Neal became the youngest Oscar winner in history for her performance in the film classic Paper Moon. As the sidekick to her father, the flamboyant star and man-about-town Ryan O'Neal, she became a fixture at the most glamorous Hollywood parties and counted celebrities ranging from Cher to Stanley Kubrick among her childhood friends.

Yet behind the glittering façade of Tatum's life lay heartbreak: abandonment, abuse, neglect, and drug addiction. She reveals the most intimate secrets of her dysfunctional relationships with her father, Ryan O'Neal, and stepmother, Farrah Fawcett, as well as her alcoholic mother, Joanna Moore, and ex-husband, tennis pro John McEnroe.

After the collapse of her marriage and with no real family to turn to, Tatum succumbed to the demons of her past that would nearly kill her. Now she has emerged clean and sober, rediscovering herself as an actress, mother, and wonderfully vibrant woman in what she considers the prime of her life.

REGINA -- Some children skipped school and adults did the same with work to join the crowd at a Grey Cup parade in Regina on Tuesday. The parade and rally were held to celebrate the Saskatchewan Roughriders 45-23 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Sunday in the CFLs championship game. Flatbed trucks carried players from Mosaic Stadium through part of downtown Regina that has been dubbed the "Green Mile" to the Saskatchewan legislature. Fans dressed in green and white cheered along the route, then followed the players to the rally at the provincial legislature. The biggest cheers were for Riders head coach Corey Chamblin, quarterback Darian Durant and running back Kory Sheets. "Lets go Riders," Chamblin shouted when he stepped up to the microphone at the rally, and the crowd echoed back. "This is a special place, with special people, with a special team and we deserve the cup. " Then came the chants of "Darian, Darian, Darian" and the Riders quarterback was greeted with wild enthusiasm. "I remember when we came back from Calgary in 2009 and I told you guys that wed be playing for plenty of Grey Cups ahead and I made that promise to you. And now Im so glad, with the help of my guys, to finally bring that Grey Cup right back here to Saskatchewan where it belongs," Durant said to the crowd. "We had a lot of ups and downs this season, but we stuck together, you guys stuck with us, and now this is the ultimate reward at the end of the day. Theres no better feeling than to have won this Grey Cup right here in Saskatchewan, where it belongs. " The crowd screamed when Durant went inside the legislature and raised the cup on a balcony over their heads. The organization, including general manager Brendan Taman, had been working to put together a championship winning team since 2011, when it was announced that Saskatchewan would host the 101st Grey Cup. Saskatchewan last won the cup in 2007. This was the first time the Riders have won the Grey Cup on their home turf. It was also the last Grey Cup to be played at Mosaic Stadium, which will be replaced with a new facility in 2017. The players were high-fiving and hugging fans, who stood shoulder to shoulder at the rally in temperatures that dipped into the minus... But Regina resident Dean Dohms said he wouldnt miss it. Dohms brought his two children to the parade and rally, saying he has "authorized the hooky (from school) today. " "Its just such an amazing thing that we feel they need to take part in the whole thing," said Dohms. Source: Love Detour - Getting Relationships back on track! » Blogs

Ryan O’Neal and Farrah Fawcett. He was the handsome Academy Award–nominated star of Paper Moon and the classic romance Love Story. She was the beautiful, all-American Charlie’s Angel, whose poster adorned the bedroom walls of teenage boys everywhere. One of the most storied love affairs in Hollywood history, their romance has captivated fans and media alike for more than three decades. In a tragic turn, the world lost Farrah after a tragic battle with cancer in 2009, but in his intimate memoir Both of Us, Ryan brings their relationship to vivid life. Fans of each other from afar, Ryan and Farrah met through her husband, Lee Majors, and fell passionately in love. Soon, however, reality threatened their happiness and they struggled with some serious matters, including the disintegration of Farrah’s marriage; Ryan’s troubled relationship with his daughter, Tatum, and son, Griffin; mismatched career trajectories; and raising their young son, Redmond—all leading Ryan and Farrah to an inevitable split in 1997. Ryan fought to create a life on his own but never stopped longing for Farrah. Eventually he realized that he had lost his true soul mate. Older and wiser, he and Farrah found their way back to each other and were excited to start a new life together. But their bliss was cut short when Farrah was diagnosed with cancer and passed away just three years later. Ryan’s deep love for Farrah and his devotion to preserving her memory are evident in Both of Us. Drawing on decades’ worth of personal records and keepsakes, he has included never-before-seen photographs, letters exchanged between him and Farrah, and his own diaries, making this a poignant and compelling memento for her fans. Written with candor and emotional honesty, it is a true Hollywood love story.
