On the latest episode of “Stalker,” it was time for “The News,” but what happens when you are the news. In this episode, we got to find out, when a news anchor was stalked by an unknown creeper, who sent him video of his daughter being watched through a window, leading to an on-air meltdown for stalkee John Bardo (Kerr Smith, of “Dawson’s Creek”... At first, it seemed like the stalker was Sam (Todd Giebenhain, “Raising Hope”), who certainly fit the bill, having been accused and jailed of stalking Bardo previously. When Sam shows up unannounced at Bardo’s and the newsman has to assault him with a poker to subdue him, it seems as if the case is solved, but no such luck. Suspecting that there’s another stalker at work here, Beth and her team continue to investigate Bardo’s past, discovering that he had a run-in with a colleague, Keith (David Julian Hirsh, “Weeds”), who was passed up as lead anchor over Bardo himself. Keith insists he did nothing after the initial conflict, but that they might want to look into Bardo’s habit of not being able to keep it in his pants. This basically leads nowhere, as, while it turns out Bardo did sleep with his swinging co-anchor, Adele (Nazneen Contractor, “Covert Affairs”), he’s actually a bit of a prude. When Bardo is shot in a drive-by at his house, all eyes turn to Adele’s husband, Matt (Brad Schmidt, “Combat Report”), but he confirms that he and Adele have an open marriage, and that her encounter with Bardo was a one-and-done type deal and went... The investigation turns back to Keith when his college alma mater logo is spotted in the video of Bardo’s daughter, but it turns out he had a stalker as well, Candace (Erin Daniels, “The L-Word”), and guess who she’s dating now, under a different... Bardo realizes this all too late, but manages to talk his way out of the dangerous situation and subdue Candace, aka Lauren, long enough for the cops to swoop in and arrest her. Meanwhile, Perry, aka Beth’s stalker, manages to get her other stalker, Ray (Eion Bailey, “Once Upon a Time”) released from the mental institution, much to her dismay, and the two team up to go after her. It turns out that Ray had actually meant to save Beth’s entire family from the fire he started, in order to impress her and make her his, but it backfired- literally- and he ended up killing everyone instead, by accident, save Beth herself, of...
