Are there seeds of business greatness, even within the most underprivileged young black male, heavily engaged in a wild criminal lifestyle of selling drugs to achieve his version of the American dream? According to Christopher Freeman's life transformation...absolutely! This inspirational self-help book highlights Christopher’s life and business evolution, from fueling a misguided hustler’s ambition as a dope boy, to properly channeling his hustle and drive to achieve an empowered level of success as a fearless business man.
Christopher's troubled childhood includes being sent to juvenile detention for a felony charge at 13, dropping out of school in the 9th grade, and selling crack at the age of 14. His meteoric rise to becoming a major dope boy making over $50,000 profit a month, was followed by 2 tormenting bids in federal prison. However, while incarcerated, Christopher embraced a powerful regimen for reprogramming his mind. He discovered how to use the exact same skills that made him prominent as a hustler in the streets, to build one of the fastest growing multi-million dollar virgin hair businesses in the nation - Beautiful Hair 4 U.
In Dope Black Boy 2 Rich Black Man, Marcellus Womack unites with Christopher to collaboratively provide a mentor/big-brother source of guidance and rejuvenating enlightenment for young black males, taking a very real and credible look at how an overly glamorized "Thug Life" truly plays out in "Real Life." Dope Black Boy 2 Rich Black Man also contains invaluable perspectives and solution bases for uplifting black culture, in addition to pivotal keys to business success and overall greatness, applicable to all.
Morris County officials are blaming a "glitch" for inflating overtime figures at the Morris County jail. For several years, overtime at the jail has been growing — roughly doubling since 2010. But that growth isn't quite as large as initially reported when NJ Advance Media sought out overtime figures amid squabbles between the Morris County sheriff... A June article reported that since 2010, overall overtime for corrections officers increased from about $874,000 to $1. 9 million in 2014. Under the corrected data, the total overtime for corrections officers in 2014 was $1. 7 million. The county's figures inflated the overtime for 19 of the 143 corrections officers who worked at the county jail in 2014 — doubling most and tripling a few. Overtime for one sheriff's officer was wrong as well. Other key details were right — such as the fact that one corrections officer made just under $100,000 in overtime in 2014, working more than 1,600 overtime hours. Only those officers originally listed as making more than $10,000 in overtime were included in a chart published with the earlier article. County Administrator John Bonanni said the "glitch" resulted from a "software problem" that was detected later on by the county's Information Technology department. The county offices and sheriff's offices have now both provided NJ Advance Media with corrected figures. RELATED: Sheriff won't lose total control of Morris jail Larry Ragonese, a spokesman for the freeholders, pointed out that the earlier story didn't discuss superior officers and civilians working at the jail. With their payments factored in, total overtime figure at the jail was actually about $2 million. Pollison said corrections officers have been subjected to criticism from members of the public for the high overtime figures, even though the numbers released by the county were wrong for 19 officers. Pollison, along with Sheriff Edward Rochford and other spokesmen, have said low salaries are to blame for turnover that leads to overtime. County officials acknowledged turnover is high, but pointed out that Morris corrections officers make more than most county jail officers in the state. Following publication of the article, the freeholders voted to take control of the jail, citing overtime costs as well as contracts with steps negotiated by the sheriff. Source: www.nj.com

Technical innovation has moved to center stage in contemporary debates on economic theory and policy, and Chris Freeman and Luc Soete have played a prominent part in these debates. For this new edition of The Economics of Industrial Innovation, they have rewritten all the existing chapters and added ten new ones that address recent advances in theory and in policymaking. In the new chapters they deal with the international dimensions of technical change including underdevelopment, technology transfer, international trade, and globalization. They have also strengthened the historical account of the rise of new technologies, a main feature of earlier editions. They take advantage of their experience on projects for the OECD, the European Union, and industry in other new chapters on "The Information Society" and on environmental issues, as well as in the updated discussion of science and technology policy.
