Patricia Buckley is a down-to-earth mystic - gentle, funny and practical. In the last decade, through her joyous embrace of the angels in her life, she has been able to give hope to countless wounded souls who have come to her seeking guidance. From as early as she can remember, Patricia took for granted that she could speak to angels and dead people. And though her childhood was blighted by poverty, neglect and abuse, the spirit world made her feel secure and cherished. However, after many tough years - during which she was committed to a mental ward, was nearly killed by an abusive boyfriend and eventually became homeless - she gave up on that part of her life.Patricia found love in a good marriage and joy in the birth of her children. And yet for twenty years she remained fragile and dependent on tranquillisers. That was until a chance encounter woke up her hidden spiritual energies and revived her passion for living. The time had come to share her gifts with the world. Now, Patricia shares her story in My Journey with the Angels - a heart-breaking memoir of a Dublin childhood, a moving account of how she came to accept her extraordinary gifts, and an inspirational guide - full of examples from her life and work - to the wisdom of the angels.

The Cambridge Illustrated Depiction of China by Patricia Buckley Ebrey
Product Description
More populous than any other country on earth, China also occupies a unique place in our modern world for the continuity of its history and culture. In this sumptuously illustrated single-volume history, now in its second edition, noted historian Patricia Buckley Ebrey traces the origins of Chinese culture from prehistoric times to the present. She follows its development from the rise of Confucianism, Buddhism, and the great imperial dynasties to the Mongol, Manchu, and Western intrusions and the modern communist state. Her scope is phenomenal - embracing Chinese arts, culture, economics, society and its treatment of women, foreign policy, emigration, and politics, including the key uprisings of 1919 and 1989 in Tiananmen Square. Both a comprehensive introduction to an extraordinary civilization and an expert exploration of the continuities and disjunctures of Chinese history, Professor Ebrey's book has become an indispensable guide to China past and present. This second edition includes a new chapter on China's recent opening to the world and a fully revised guide to further reading.

American Idol – Recap & Review – Top 12 Women

Top 12 Women Original Air Date: Feb 26, 2015. Patricia Morris Buckley – Sr. Staff Writer. I like this new format where the show is taped in front of an audience, but isn’t live. The singers are less jittery and it can be edited so well that 12 singers fit in an hour. I especially like how short and snappy the judges comments are (they probably watched the rehearsals and came up with their comments then). But I have to say that overall the women showed their nerves more than the men. Did you notice that with both the men and the women that the show is stacked. The best singers are shown last – when the voters will best remember them. So while you think you’re voting for your favorite, the producers have just found a sneaky way to get you to vote for THEIR favorites. She sounded off tune except in the chorus, where she shone. JLo said it was a great start. Harry thought it was a strong job. Keith said it got better and better as the song went on. ADANNA DURU —“Rather Be” by Clean Bandit featuring Jess Glynne. It looks as though nerves got to her, making her voice thin and quivery. Then she gets to the belty part and brings the house down, although her voice still shakes. Keith called it great. JLo said she was going for blood, but needs to stay in control when she gets nervous. Harry thought the first half was the best he’s heard her sing. Harry thought she was natural on stage, but she shouldn’t use a twang to imitate other singers. Keith said if she wasn’t comfortable with the guitar, get rid of it. JLo loved it and encouraged her to keep playing around with songs. JOEY COOK—“Somebody Like You” by Keith Urban. Keith gives her a standing O. JLo said it was all the best things about her and it showed exactly what she’s like. Keith said it was what artists do —take song and make it their own. KATHERINE WINSTON—“Safe & Sound” by Taylor Swift featuring the Civil Wars. Keith called it a good song choice, but she needs to feel the song. Jo said she has a magical quality to her voice. Harry praised her voice, but is worried that she does ballads. She was so under-energized, but once she gets to the chorus, she really sounded good except for a few blown notes. Harry thought the novelty of her being a green performer will wear off and she needs to pay more. Source: TwoCentsTV » key6 geo1 | key3, geo1 | key2, geo1
