Starring: Kurt Russell , Patrick Wilson , Matthew Fox. I generally like westerns Kurt Russell’s baby blues have been a long-running joke since I saw Big Trouble in Little China Matthew Fox is in it, and I still miss Lost (for “old” readers, I made it through the whole series. Every so often I experience a pang of sadness Lost ended…but then I remember J. J. Abrams has taken Bad Robot to Space: The Final Frontier, in a galaxy far, far away…and I feel a little better. For some reason I got the notion in my head this movie focused on a mystical Native American curse raining down revenge and death on some settlers that disturbed a sacred burial ground, or something of that nature. I didn’t bother to do any additional research on the film. I didn’t bother to read that it was “horror western. I should have known the minute I saw Sid Haig on the screen – even though he was only in the film for about five minutes as a wandering thief who gets whacked by a mysterious foe. The best way to describe the viewing experience is that it’s like two separate films. I’ll call the first part “Bad to Worse in the Old West. ” It’s a dusty town with where Sheriff Hunt (Kurt Russell) is getting long in the tooth, and his deputy sheriff Chicory (Richard Jenkins) is older. One night there’s some trouble when a stranger (David Arquette) shows up in town and causes a little ruckus. After he gets hauled off to the pokey, the town’s lady doctor (Lili Simmons) has to go patch him up. Sometime in the dead of night, there’s a murder and a kidnapping. The doctor, the young deputy and the prisoner have vanished. The town’s short on menfolk to begin with, so the posse picking are pretty slim. Add to the mix the doctor’s husband has a broken ankle, but still insists on joining the search party. Then one of the locals voices a suspicion the kidnappers are a tribe of cannibals, and refuses to join the search even though he’s young and hardy. The journey itself is already grueling, and the presence of Brooder (Matthew Fox) in the foursome is additionally grating – primarily to Arthur (Patrick Wilson), who sees Brooder as a rival for his wife’s attention, but also to the sheriff. The last part of the movie is a surreal and bipolar mix of thriller and horror. The cannibals are a grisly, painted bunch that communicate via zombie screams, look like death incarnate in loincloths and slice & dice with deadly aim. Source: In the Queue

WOW! Last Journey of the Ark is an incredible read. Mr. Gainer has done a spendid job of engaging the reader in an intriguing story line involving a fascinating subject...The Ark of the Covenant. You will enjoy this colorful journey. Great Job!! REVIEW By DL Moody- President of Arlington Baptist Your book is absolutely wonderful. I loved every minute of it! I laughed. I cried. I learned alot. Set up, climax and follow through of the storyline are all excellent. I would make an excellent screenplay as well (something to thing about in the future. REVIEW by Sarajoy Porter--Editor Now available at authorhouse.com--Last Journey of the Ark (288 pages), a compelling action-adventure with a hint of romance, inspired by contemporay events that tell how the Ark of the Covenant went back to Israel in modern times. The heroine is a determined woman reporter from New York City who stumbles into love while entangled in dangerous and complex Israeli security issues. Ultimately she witnesses the return of the Ark of the Covenant to Israel in 1991. So why didn't the world hear about these events? Indeed, bits and pieces of the real story have leaked out over the years. Perhaps you recall a whisper of an announcement on world news in May 1991 that the Israel Security Service--the Mossad--had quietly transported 14,314 Ethiopian Jews back to Israel at the height of the Civil War in Ethiopia. Why would Israel believe that these modern Ethiopian Jews are truly descendants of the tribe of Dan? Why would Israel risk men and airplanes against a backdrop of civil war in Ethiopia to fly these Jews to Israel? Why would Israelis take 14,000 poor people to their tiny country and pay millions of dollars to Ethiopia for that privilege? Why would the Israelis name the operation after the very King of Israel who first placed the Ark in the second temple? Read this book to find out.
